My wife had a argument with females in neighborhood. Now they are threatening of police complaint. Is this serious. What is it I can do?

A.Hi,
They cannot file a complaint unless they have proof that your wife committed an offence.
Making false claims is punishable under S.209 IPC.

A.Hi,
They will need valid grounds and evidence on which to file the complaint.
If they make false claims, they can be punished under S.209 IPC.

A.Need clear picture of what happened between your wife and the neighbourhood females. They cannot just like that goto police without any strong point
