What if someone lie to me on whatsapp conversation ?

How to file a complaint against someone who contacts you on whatsapp conversation & lies to you about how he/she got your contact number..
Where to complain- court, department of telecom or cyber crime if i want to get " Compensation" against it, ..
I want to file complaint under multiple laws so that i can easily get compensation.
Kindly, tell under which law?

A.Is any loss was caused to you if stated person has made false representation to you? If no then no case is made out on such false representation.

A.Lying per se about how one obtained your contact information is not an offense however if you feel that someone is harassing you over phone or other electronic medium then you can lodge complain against such miscreants under relevant provision of IPC and IT act to the concerned police station or the cyber cell of your state. For further guidance contact a lawyer of your choice.
