I am working in Delhi University and join Supreme Court of India after selection thru proper channel, on lien. After that on my request, Supreme Court of India relieved me on friday after noon (late evening) in order to join my parent department i.e. Delhi University. Now my issue is that Delhi University is closed on saturday and sunday due to which I was joined the department on monday. Whether this gap of two day will be treated as Break in Service and if not then who will the pay the salary of this 2 days. Please help me this, it's very urgent. Please quote Rule against your advice if any.

A.Hi,
You should have joined the university on Friday afternoon. As the joining date will be considered while payment of salary. If you have joined the university on Monday then you won't get paid for two days that is Saturday and Sunday.
