Regarding pension contribution in EPF account

The pension contribution is not getting deducted from employer PF part and the whole employer contribution is going to the main PF account of the employee. Can the pension contribution be started now and the same shall be deposited from his main PF account to his pension account since his joining?

A.Hi,
If your organisation has a policy in place about this practise, it will be regarded legal, and you will have no right to object. Only if there is an apparent illegality involved in the procedure may you contest it.

Yes, if the pension contribution continues, it can be begun right now. However, the reason for not deducting PF from your account must be determined first, because if your company has a valid policy, such a procedure will be considered lawful, and you will have no right to question it. You can only challenge a process if there is clear illegality involved.

First you have to find the reason why it was not deducting from employer PF account. Now if you starts your contribution it can be deposited in your pension account.

A.What was the reason for not getting deducted you need to ascertain first. If the reason is legally valid then you can't if not then yes you can. Find out the reason first. Also if the pension deduction is being continued then I guess you can. Look thoroughly into it.
