A.Everything would depend on the details that was filled in the application form. Now since the policy is in your name and I am assuming its a life insurance policy and you are talking of survival benefit then you can approach any LIC agent to fetch the details of the policy and then change the bank account details of the beneficiary and that way you can get the money directly into your account.

A.If the LIC policy is endowment policy then on maturity the amount will come to the account of beneficiary whose account is updated with LIC. If it is life coverage then it will come to the beneficiary or to the nominee account. If you want the money to come to your account then you have to get your account details to be updated as either beneficiary or as nominee with the LIC.

A.Hello, generally LIC policies cover two individuals - the policy holder and the nominee. The LIC money will go to the account of the policy holder which is registered with them.

In the event of the policy holder's death, the money goes to the nominee.
