Suicide case
My aunt (unmarried leaving alone) committed suicide in 2018 by hanging herself to the roof. When we got her death news we ran to the spot and next thing we informed nearby police station. Police came to the spot did the formalities and sent the body for postmortem and gave the report it's suicide case and handover the body to the family. Everyone belive she committed suicide for personal reasons, but a shocking twist and turn waiting for us, when we opened her wardrobe after a year ago we recovered a letter written by my aunt itself which stated "my brother in law and my sister have taken 1lakh rupees and a gold chain and not returning back if asked". This sentence can be considered as suicide note? can we reopen the case and punish the culprits?..one more proof is available my aunt have taken picture of the note quoted above in her mobile, picture taken just half n hour before her hanging. Is this proof, note and picture available enough to punish the guilty?.. Suggest what we can do to get justice to my aunt.

Yes, you can revive the case by filing an FIR with the police station and holding the perpetrator accountable under Section 306 (Abatement to Suicide). Ultimately the perpetrator will be liable for the crimes. Every small piece of evidence is essential for making the perpetrator responsible for the same.
Thank you very much.
Yes, you can reopen the case by filing an FIR and holding the culprit responsible under Section 306 (Abetment to Suicide) in the Police Station. The note that you have found could be treated as substantial evidence in solving the case.
Thank you.

You must immediately inform the police and see what happens. Let the police do their job. Thanks.
