What to do if somone put irrelevant 420 on you after 10 years?

There was one finance company back in 2008 P, they make member, in that we have to submit some money to company they will return double stake in 5 years, but that company closes back in 2010 owner arrested and died in jail due to stress back in 2012, every member invested money lost. now after 10 year one relative due to jealousy put a complaint against me of 420 fraud. so i want to know what will happen. there is no proof that i ever take money from them, they just directly submit money to company like rest of others. nothing to me. no paper proof. all paper of company. they join because they were interested but we didnt forced them, my money also lost liker others will police put me in jail? or should i hire a lawyer. one local policeman call me that i have to present in policestation to report my statements. i have less knowledge regardings laws. so i want to be prepared. please assist me
You are responsible only if you induced them with mala fide intention to invest the money in the company. But if you did not have any such intention, you are not responsible and have no liability. You have to prove it in court.

A.Dear Sir,
The police has to investigate in respect of the complaint and they can call you to record statement. Upon registration of FIR, if any, you can approach concerned HIGH Court u/s 482 of Criminal Procedure Code for quashing of FIR being frivolous and false complaint made upon you or can also seek anticipatory bail wherein High Court will observe prima facie if any case is there for such an FIR or case and quash it if nothing substantial found to do so.

You have to give an explanation if he had invested the money because of your advice. If your intention was bonafide, you are not liable for anything and you need to prove that in court.

A.It is very rare in such cases that 420 should apply. However, police has to investigate and go ahead according to the law so they call you to record statement. But you should be careful and seek anticipatory bail should you feel that there is any chance.of FIR filing and subsequent arrest of you through it.
