Hi, Hdfc bank issued me a credit card in 2018 n card limit was 61000 .I used the amount 58500 from it in which finance charges are included. In actual I used 38000 if we cut finance charges from 58500. Then I paid every month approx 19000 n the bank always deducted that amount...then I stopped paying because they said this is just an interest which u have paid. Then I stopped making payments .Now the case is under recovery team..I asked them to take 25000 as I have already paid 19000 as a interest..but they are asking me to pay 45000. Now they are threatening me that they will take legal action against me..So I just want to know..can they take legal action n what will the consequences of this
A.Hello Sir
If you have taken some loan form the bank through credit card then you are liable to pay the same and bank have all rights to initiate legal actions against you if you have made default in payments. It would be advised to clear your pending amount to avoid legal action.

A.Hello Sir
They could surely take legal action against your for default in payments. But they would first send you a legal notice before proceeding with filing of any case against you. You would given chance to say your side.
Thanks
