Can my mother issue a restraining order against daughter in law? Can my mother issue a restraining order against daughter in law?

My sister-in-law abuses my mother badly when she is alone. She calls my mother only when there is no one around and abuses falsly blaming her for the mess in her relationship with my brother. She and my brother have a 2 year old child and they stay in the same locality as my sister-in-law's birth parents. We live in a different state and my brother visits us rarely. Still she abuses my mother a lot and that is taking a toll on my mother's health. How can my mother issue a restraining order against her so that she cannot contact my mother? I have all the call recordings.

A.Dear Sir,
Your mother must file domestic violence case under the provisions of DV Act and get such order from the Court of Magistrate.

I could have explained more if background is known to me.

Please give me FIVE STAR if satisfied by my answers.

A.Dear Client,
your mother can directly approach a police officer, or can directly file a complaint with the Magistrate for obtaining a restraining order. Within three days from the day of the complaint, the court can hear the case. After the hearing, if the Magistrate gets satisfied with the case, a restraining order can be issued.
Thank you
