My mom passed away almost 6 years ago. My father got married again to a woman with a son. The first few years it was going smooth but for the past 2-3 years she is creating trouble a lot. She often gets enraged with even a tiny and normal matter and makes huge chaos out of it. Even she uses abusive words and tends to physically harm and when she is defended by holding her hands so that she doesn't continue to push or slap then she again shouts at my father saying he is trying to harm her out of nowhere (I managed to voice record). She also took a huge amount of money from my father to buy property but didn't buy and kept the money in her father's place. And when she is asked about her and her father always ignores him and even she said to forget about the money. She always talks about money, property, and the problems she has with me and my brother. She claims that as a wife and a woman, rules are strong for her and can anytime put my father in jail. She also said not acceptable things to me as well. I have to leave my house because of my further studies but am very tense about my father leaving him alone in this aggression. He is a senior citizen. Kindly help me through what measures can be taken.

A.Dear Client,
It is vital to take suitable steps to prevent your father's second wife from using emotional blackmail against you; otherwise, she may file a domestic violence case and/or a Section 498A IPC complaint against you for torture and cruelty.
Thank you!

A.If you want divorce you can file suit against her in Court, and be prepared that she can counter by filing false case and maintenance claim. At first lodge a General Diary in local police station stating all minute details that will help you for future reference.
