My right
It started in November 2019 when I told my parents that I'm seeing someone. They made me stay home. Hid my documents, IDs, certificate, took my mobile. There was mental, physical abuse. They're forcing things I don't want on me. They just wouldn't let me do a job. They told me if I want to go then I can go but before that I'll have to sign some papers. So that I can't use their name and get any job. They threatened me to kick out of their house. I'm not happy. They want me to get married so that they can save their " Ghar ki izzat".They torture me blackmail me. I'm so tired. I can't take it anymore. I want my life back. I'm struggling, going through a lot. I'm depressed. They're not giving my stuff back. I want to get out of this toxic place. I'm dying everyday. I stopped talking to anyone anymore not even my close friends. They gave me a new mobile after 8 months. But I don't use it. I don't feel like it's my home. I'm so much in pain. I just want a normal life where I can do things I like and I enjoy. I don't want to suffocate. There was a time when I couldn't sleep eat talk properly. But they just don't care what I'm going through. Please someone help me. It's been 2 years. I can't take it anymore. How do I deal with it?
Since you are above the age of eighteen, your parents cannot make any decisions regarding your marriage, work plans, etc. for you. However, since there is clear torture in your situation, wherein they are restricting you from living your life, you may move to high court under article 226 or supreme court under article 32 to protect your right to life and personal liberty or you may give an application to concerned police station where you resides.
Thank you.
