Lawyer Fee for enabling court marriage Lawyer Fee for enabling court marriage

What should be the ideal feels for enabling a marriage under special marriage act.

One lawyer suggested a cost of 30000 along with gazetted registration. Is that justified cost. I feel it's bit higher.

A.For getting your marriage registered, you need to pay a very nominal fees before the competent office but the problem is that if you do on your own then it may be little bit complicated for fulfilling the procedures and criteria hence you may take help of an advocate but the fees of that advocate shall also be legitimate and reasonable so that you do not hesitate to afford it as the advocate needs to give his time for your work therefore he will charge some fees but obviously legitimate and justified.

A.Dear Client
The fee for registration of marriage will be as per the charges mentioned by the marriage registrar and allowed and published by the state government. You can yourself go and get the registration done but if you need a lawyer's service to help you get this done then the lawyer will charge for his services and giving his time to your for your work.
Accordingly you can speak to the lawyer and finalize an agreed fee.

A.Dear Client,
You dont need a lawyer to get your registration done. While the government charges Rs 100 as application fee for registration under the Hindu Marriage Act, Rs 150 is levied under Special Marriage Act. Additionally, people pay around Rs 400-500 for acquiring certain affidavits that need to be submitted with the applications.
Thankyou
