Employer accepted resignation on a back date Employer accepted resignation on a back date

I was working in this organisation as a program manager & resigned on 14th feb, on 21st feb they informed me through an email that my resignation has been accepted & 14th itself was my last working day and they deactivated my official mail id on 22nd feb. However, I have worked and attended official meetings till 22nd Feb. I was on a 2 year contract and have worked here for close to 3 months. Even on the offer letter it's mentioned that either party can terminate the contract by serving 3 months of notice or on payment of three months salary instead of notice but here they have said that the organization has taken a soft view to waive off my notice period as an exception. What all legal options do I have Since I never made any request for early release or relaxation on my notice period, even in my resignation email I mentioned that I want to work as long as management wants me to work till we find a replacement. Is acceptance of resignation on a back date allowed in india?

A.Dear Client,
An acceptance of resignation is required only if there is a spot resignation or at any time before the expiry of the notice period. Acceptance of resignation is not required if 30 days' notice has been served.
Thankyou
