Labor law - Your employment with us is confirmed Labor law - Your employment with us is confirmed

ABC company released an offer letter to a potential employee. The letter had a clause stating: "Your employment with us is confirmed, subject to an educational background check" The results of the background check later revealed that the candidate had a degree from a university that has a reputation for issuing fake degrees. The candidate's degree itself however, was not fake. Can the offer of employment now be rescinded validly?

A.Dear Client,
Since the the company has clearly and specifically mentioned that there will be a background check they have the discretion to rescind the contract on any errors that they find in background check.

Thank You

A.Dear,
There is nothing like a university with a reputation of issuing fake degrees.
Either the university is fake or degree is fake.
but if your degree is not fake then there is nothing to worry about it.
