I had taken home loan from LICHFL in March 2021. I have submitted the PMAY subsidy form with Female co applicant at time of applying for the loan. At the time of loan processing the representative communicated to me I am eligible under PMAY MIG-I because my property is 1000 SFT and my annual income is above 6 Lacs.
After few months I have contacted LICHFL through email to know my PMAY status and they replied, my loan is not eligible for PMAY LIG scheme. Reason: There is no female co-ownership in the mortgaged property.
As per Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs CLSS guidelines I am eligible for Middle Income Group (MIG)-I not LIG, because my total property carpet area is 1000 SFT and my Annual income is Rs. 7 Lacs (as per my 2019-20 Form 16, on pay slip my gross salary is Rs. 49,500/- per month). As per my knowledge female co-ownership is required only on Application form at the time of submission for MIG-I, because some of my friends got the benefit on the same.
