Central Bank of India Education Loan Repayment

Greeting to all.
I taken education loan from CBI (2011 to 2014) Rs. 193500 but it mention as Rs.2lac. After Completing degree i didn't get Job. so I Did PG. in sugar Engg (2016 - 2017). Now working in a Decent Job from 2021, then i started Repaying Loan, till date i repaid Sum 175000/-. now the Bank issue penalty Sum RS .165730 & Interest. Total 6.1 Lac they Saying to Repay. So Please guide me What to do

You have to go to Civil Court and get a stay on such illegal amounts and recovery process otherwise they may use cohesive steps to recover the same.

You need to ask the bank to clarify on why such a huge amount is to be paid. From my experience of working with SBI I think they might have had moratorium for payment of EMIs. Also, when you calculate the interest from 2014 till date the amount for sure would have more than doubled.
Anyways you can get in touch with the bankers and try to resolve the issue amicably.
