Service contract with employer 3 years Service contract with employer 3 years

My employer has made a service agreement to serve for 3 years w.e.f. 01/04/2022 but I want to resign. They are giving reference of some legal remedies clause from the agreement. The agreement also mentions to pay penalty amount if i resign & I am ready to pay that much amount. I just want to know, can employer still sue me over my resignation?

A.Dear Sir,
If you are ready to pay the agreed amount they will be no issue and your employer cannot file any case thereafter against you.
