After declaring UCD acct. in 2009 year no interest paid though 2016 circular said UCD can't be declared once the member in service. I serviced in BSNL ,many EPF acct. Opened. One of that declared UCD in 2009. My service was continued with other epf acct.Fund transfered from ucd acct to new one without interest paid. Application made through to EPFO and BSNL authority citing 2016 circular . I didn't get no reply and no interest paid over the fund in UCD account.My question is whether it is possible to recover the interest. Now I have retired from service.

As ,per the procedure in the EPF office if the employee has resigned from service and no further deposits are made in the EPF account for a period of one year, the account is designated as "uncalimed deposit account" (UCD) and no interest is credited to the account. However interest will be paid when the employee submits his application for refund of the amount. You may therefore get in touch with your ex employer through whom you have to submit the refund application form. You can down load the prescribed application form on line.

Sir, when I came to know that one account is declared UCD and got transferred the whole fund from UCD acct to new acct of the same employer on transfer posting, EPFO doesn't pay interest. Application submitted regarding demand of interest to both office. But no action taken. Any possibility to get back my dues vide legal assistance,pls highlight.
