Sir, my father is a retired employee. Both my father and stepmother are mentally harassing me and my younger brother. He agreed to give me land for my marriage. He is putting conditions for land registration. My stepmother has two children. Stepmother bought land with retired money. The stepmother has made a fixed deposit of money in the name of her children. Now when I ask my father for land registration, he puts a condition. Now my father's health is not good, my father says we have to take care of his wife and children too. All money and assets to his wife and children. My father says that they don't take care of me, you have to take care of me.My mother died for 19 years and since then I have been facing difficulties and living on my own. Now I'm facing problem with my father and stepmother. I need Justice

A.Any property earned by your father, you cannot claim your rights on such self earned property during his life time. He can sell or gift it to anyone he wish... If your father dies intestate then only you can claim your right on those properties. On the other hand, any ancestral property inherited by your father, you have complete right to claim your share on that property during his life time also. Since it is ancestral so you can definitely claim your right of share on such ancestral property. For further help you can seek the help of Vidhikarya Law Firm.
