I paid an amount x via credit card and authorized the transaction for x only...when the bill came the amount was x+y ...can we fight for that y amount
A.Prior to acquiring credit cards, you must first be aware of the following fees and charges that may be applicable.
1. Annual Maintenance Charge
2. Interest Charge
3. GST
4. Late Payment Charges
5. Overdraft Charges
6. Foreign Transaction Charges
7. ATM Withdrawal Charges
As you would have agreed to pay additional charges as above, you would have to pay them. But if the bank has not specified the reason for charging the extra 'y' amount, then you can contact the bank and seek an explanation from them.
