Hello sir ,we are a group of students and we got a idea few months back regarding a startup and to establish it ,we given a deal to a company to design the prototype for the startup,it was a deal of 40000 ,we paid them 10000 because they were did some of the work ,immediately after 1 week they are asking for 15000 without designing the main feature ,and they are saying they will terminate the project if we did'nt make the payment,initially they said that they will take the 15000 if and only if the project was completed upto 75% ,we are helpless,please help me out with some suggestion sir.?

If you have any form of written agreement in which it is mentioned that Rs. 75000 will be paid after 75% of completion of work then you can show that to the company and state it is a breach of contract if you pay the sum before the completion of the required work. If that is not there then you can cancel the contract and pay them only for the services they provided. If there is still no proper relief then you can consult a lawyer and proceed legally to seek relief for your problems.
