Mutual Consent Divorce

Mutual Divorce - got mutually divorced on September 30th

Hi i got mutually divorced on September 30th,2022 and received order copy from my lawyer. How long should i wait to get married again? Registrar office people are sayin that i have to wait one year for re marriage and they are not confidently confirming it.. Now what should i do ?

Dear Client,

90-days period for the appeal is given to both the parties from the day of decree of divorce and if there is no appeal made during this period then either of the parties become eligible to remarry after the given appeal period gets over.

Dear Client
Since it is a mutual consent divorce which will not go to appeal for the very fact that both husband and wife have together come forward to dissolve the marriage hence you can marry as soon as the order is received by you. If they are saying after 1 year then ask them to show the law.
