Rent related - I have a very old house

I have a very old house consisting of three rooms in market place. One shopkeeper is running his business from last 12 years and he is giving rent on monthly basis .But now i have to reconstruct it and that renter seeks that aftet reconstrucion again he will start his business there only but we have a doubt that since he is doing businness for so many days so if even i make a new agreement then will it be difficult to remove after few years or may be he start claiming that property .

With a proper rental agreement in place, the trespasser cannot claim adverse possession. Hence the shopkeeper cant claim the property as his own property in this case as there is the presence of a proper rental agreement.
