I was NRI and started working with Indian company in Jan 2022. During weekdays I worked for this company and during weekends, I was providing training service (from Feb 2022). After some time in June 2022, current company HR informed me in person that it's not allowed as per contract. I informed that I was not aware of these Indian regulations as in other countries it's quite normal to work even on weekends. I agreed to their instructions and stopped providing any service and all weekend commercial activity in June 2022.
After 6 months, viz., 9 Dec 2022, company informed that I am being terminated as I have broken contract obligations by providing weekend service during Feb-Jun. I informed them that as communicated earlier I am NOT involved in any side activities. But since company lost projects, they needed cut down workforce and they terminated me (by harassing last 2 mnths that company could not win new projects).
Company HR is not responding to relieving letter, experience letter, final settlement (1-9 Dec salary) and PF related queries. Only termination email has been sent mentioning to submit the laptop. Please guide me how do I handle this situation?
