A.Dear Sir,
If you are in possession OBC Certificate then it is very difficult otherwise you have to say that you have been reared up as per the customs of mother who belongs to ST and accordingly get such Caste Certificate.

Changing the caste is not that easy and you need to decide that which caste you wish to identify yourself when you have the option like in your case. Bharat being a patriarchal society a child is recognized by the identities of his father and by the mother's identity. For getting the caste of the mother one can be allowed through the court of law on given conditions and circumstances which confirm that the child was born and brought up as per the mother's ways of living and caste.
In you case since you have already subscribed to your father's caste the authorities may not allow you to have the mother's caste.
Even then you can give it a try and apply for the same. If they allow fine else try to knock the door of the court and seek a favourable decision for yourself.

A.Dear Client,

In India, caste certificates are typically issued based on an individual's lineage and the caste of their parents. If your mother belongs to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and your father belongs to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category, you may be eligible for an ST caste certificate. However, the process of changing your caste certificate from OBC to ST would depend on the specific regulations and procedures set by the authorities in your state or jurisdiction.

To initiate the process of obtaining an ST caste certificate, you may need to visit the local office of the Revenue Department or the designated authority responsible for issuing caste certificates in your area. You will likely be required to submit documentary evidence to establish your mother's ST status, such as her ST caste certificate or other relevant documents.

Once you have gathered the necessary documentation, you can submit an application for a new caste certificate, indicating your eligibility for ST status based on your mother's caste. The application may require you to provide details about your parents' castes, along with supporting documents to verify their status.

After submitting your application, it will be reviewed by the authorities, and if found to be in order, a new ST caste certificate may be issued to you. It's essential to follow the specific guidelines and procedures outlined by the authorities and provide accurate information and documentation to avoid any delays or complications in the process.

A.Dear Client,
In India, caste is inherited by a child from the father's family, not the mother. There is no provision for changing the Caste that he acquired from his biological father. But in certain circumstances - where the mother is divorced or widowed the child can get the caste of his/her mother. However, on such a conversion of your caste, you can't claim the reservation or other benefits admissible to the backward classes/castes which are admissible only if you are born in such a class/caste
