Unilateral reduction of sanctioned load by BRPL

Can a power distribution company (DISTCOM) - BESE Rajdhani Power Limited - unilaterally reduce my sanctioned load (from 5 KVA to 1 KVA) on the ground that my electricity consumption was low due the fact that, the premises was locked for a long time (as we decided to shift to our daughter's during the pandemic)?

You have to convince DISTCOM authorities accordingly if not convinced you may go to High Court and get a direction accordingly to them.

Yes electricity board can do this thing because if you do not consume electricity and board provides you more then your requirements in your line then it will cost in terms of expenses and they will divert energy to the other instead of you, you can simply write an application to the board officer and they will restore your energy consumption.
