I have given around 17 Lac to my friend. Money was transferred through bank account only. 15 lac in my friend’s account and rest 2 lac in his wife’s account. I used to give him money as and when required. He used to return some money periodically. At the time of his death there was this due of 17 lac. In my knowledge he doesn’t have any property. How to cover my money. Can money be recovered from his wife or father or brother ?

A.Dear Sir,
It is very hard to recover the said amount since not a single document like promissory note, agreement or cheque.

A.Dear Client,
You can send a legal notice to his legal heirs and ask them to pay you the money in instalments.
