I have booked a flat and pay booking amount of Rs.1082800/-. During discussion builder representative do some commitment for services, amenities, but during discussion with representative and director of company, director denied to committed amenities. After that i decided to cancel my booking before sale agreement signing. company refund 1.5 lakh and not paid paid rest amount and always takes times for refund. What i do?
A.If the builder has not fulfilled the commitments made during the discussions and you have decided to cancel the booking before signing the sale agreement, you are entitled to a refund of the booking amount paid by you.
You can first send a legal notice to the builder asking for the refund of the remaining amount within a specified period of time. If the builder still does not refund the amount, you can file a complaint before the appropriate consumer forum.
