A.If the builder has not fulfilled the commitments made during the discussions and you have decided to cancel the booking before signing the sale agreement, you are entitled to a refund of the booking amount paid by you.

You can first send a legal notice to the builder asking for the refund of the remaining amount within a specified period of time. If the builder still does not refund the amount, you can file a complaint before the appropriate consumer forum. You can approach the consumer forum of the district in which the property is situated or where the builder has its office.

You may also consider seeking the assistance of a lawyer who can guide you through the legal process and represent you in court if necessary.
