I have booked a flat and pay booking amount of Rs.1082800/-. During discussion builder representative do some commitment for services, amenities, but during discussion with representative and director of company, director denied to committed amenities. After that i decided to cancel my booking before sale agreement signing. company refund 1.5 lakh and not paid paid rest amount and always takes times for refund. What i do?

A.If the builder has not fulfilled the commitments made during the discussions and you have decided to cancel the booking before signing the sale agreement, you are entitled to a refund of the booking amount paid by you.

You can first send a legal notice to the builder asking for the refund of the remaining amount within a specified period of time. If the builder still does not refund the amount, you can file a complaint before the appropriate consumer forum. You can approach the consumer forum of the district in which the property is situated or where the builder has its office.

You may also consider seeking the assistance of a lawyer who can guide you through the legal process and represent you in court if necessary.

A.Dear Sir,
U may get issue a legal notice and threaten to approach consumer forum and also Police for cheating through his agents by giving false promises.
