absconding absconding

Hello,
I left my company, an IT MNC, along with two guys. now, that company has sent each of us a legal notice individually asking us to pay the bond amount or else there will be a civil case filed. Two of my friends who left the company want to cite different reasons and contest it in court or enter into any negotiation.
I want to settle it. Do the reasons for me leaving the company necessarily imply that they left the company for the same reason? or will our cases be treated seperately?

A.Hi,
You decision to settle with the company is correct. It will have no bearing on the others who are contesting. Now to protect your interest it is better to consult a Professional Lawyer on Labour & employment and Service matters, quickly for amicable settlement with the IT MNC.

A.It depends on the company that how are they going to pursue your case. They may file separate cases or club all of them together after having due permission from the court as the nature of the cases being same.
Now since you have received a legal notice, you must respond to it and then think about the next steps. You are suggested to hire a lawyer sooner to respond to the legal notice. Basis that the company may choose to either go ahead with the case against you or settle it outside the court.

I have consulted a lawyer and since I want to settle it, I will send a letter to the company that I am willing to pay the amount but I guess I have to show the reason why I have left the company. so, if I give any such reason will it affect their case? If I tell them that I left due to medical reasons and they give another reason or they contest it on the grounds that the company has harassed them, will my reason and path cause them any harm or affect their case negatively?

Yes, it will be my lawyer who will send it. But the question remains, will my letter or the reason I gave for me leaving the company affect their case?
