Forced marriage

I am a 32 year old independent woman working in an MNC and also a divorcee. I fell in love with a foreigner and even asked for my parents' permission. But they outrightly rejected and now are forcing me to marry a guy of their choice. I even tried to run away from home but they caught in the middle . I dont know what to do ? Please help

In India forced marriages are illegal .So, if parents force you for marriage it is violation of human rights and gender violence. Force marriage also amounts to coercion as defined under section 15 of the Indian contract Act 1872.
