Bond amount and Experience certificate Bond amount and Experience certificate

I have a bond with my employer which I accepted since It was a college placement and I couldn't ask them to alter the terms and conditions. It is a 3 year bond and I have already completed 2 years. The employer asked me to come to Office location but I can't go because of medical issue of dependent parents. I resigned and now they are asking me to pay the entire bond amount. It was 17000 per month and the performance bonus as well. For 2 years, it sums upto 6 Lacs including the bonus part. What should I do? If i don't pay them, they won't be giving me relieving letter which I will need at every employer. Can they initiate legal action against me as well?
