Bonus - not eligible if person has left the company
1 year ago
I've worked with the organization for about 8+ years, and this year have resigned..
I received my bonus letter in March 2023 for the period Jan - Dec 2022. I'm in my notice period till May end at present but my letter said any one in notice period on or before 31st March is not eligible for bonus.
My question is a person resigning before 31st March but still with company for next few months under notice period is not eligible and a person resign after 31st March is eligible.. Is the policy by the company is right, though they are still an employee of the company and are eligible for other facilities provided by organization such as medical, Pf etc.. Instead of notice period if the policy said, not eligible if person has left the company that would have been more clear and transparent
Please clear my confusion here.

A.Dear Client,
The company is legally right to frame their own policies and is justified in not granting bonus to an employee who is in his notice period to resign.
