A.Dear client
Labours engaged by a Contractor in the establishment of principle employer are regulated by the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 and Rules, 1971. Under the said Act both the principal employer and contractor who engages labour or worker have to comply with the mandatory provision of the Act and Rules before engagement of contract labour in the establishment. An employer registered under the Act when issued a work order to the contractor, A Form-V is issued under Rule 21(2) to the contractor certifying his engagement in the establishment. Contractor is also being issued License in Fom-VI under Rule 25(1) by the Licensing Authority (Asst Labour Commissioner) .

For police verification of labourers before commencement on contract awarded by the principal employer, contractor has to carry all the statutory documents as referred under Act and Rules like Form-V, VI, Vara, Form-XII, Form-XIII(Register of workers engaged by contractor), Form-XIII(Employment I Card issued by contractor) or any other documents required for verification.
