Labour law - I have resigned from company

I have resigned from company but they are not relieving me ... Saying that i have to serve notice period of 2 month. I am ready to pay for notice period but they are not agreed to that . I have a Joining date within 1 month in other company . What should i do ??

You are duty-bound to comply with the condition of your contract of employment i.e, offer letter that requires service 2 months' notice before tendering resignation from the Company.
