Respected Sir/Madam,

Recently I had opted for work from home Online Data Entry Job opportunity as I am unemployed (located in Hooghly) and as per the Contract Signed on a blank (Amount not mentioned) Stamp Paper while taking up the job, it states "In the matter of non submission of the work or cancellation of work, the client is bound to pay the penalty amount of 4800 to the company\". I was unable to complete the work due to my illness before the due date and time. Now I had started receiving mails and calls asking me to pay the amount, if not legal action would be taken in Hyderabd Court. Kindly share your views / opinion from the legal point of view for the above issue.

A.Dear Client,

It is well said, that only an alert citizen can keep himself/herself safe and secure in the virtual world and its work environment. Once you get a copy of said agreement/contract that you signed blank by default then it may be easy to take steps in the matter. However, if are aware of their office address, then send a legal notice citing your emails demanding money from you by virtue of said blank agreement signed by default and ask them to send a copy of the said agreement or contract letter to agree with their demand. A contract is valid and legally acceptable if its contents are made for an honest and valid purpose otherwise it may be as void ab initio and unenforceable. In case you need our assistance in this regard, you may get in touch with our legal team for serving a legal notice with all your relevant papers.
