Credit card and Car loan issue

Dear Sir/madam, Thanks in advance for your reply . I have taken a car loan from private bank in 2019 . Due to my personal and financial loss after covid . I could not pay . Where I was given one settlement for car which I have paid and cleared car loan and the account is also closed . But the bank is refusing to give NOC for Car . Because I have a credit card due of 40,000 . I am saying I will clear the payment once I get the NOC for my car .but the bank is refusing to give NOC for car loan . Please suggest me what to do .

It is common sense that nobody will believe especially the Bankers are not authorized to issue NOC before clearing the pending credit card dues of Rs.40,000/- though it is not connected with car loan. Such circulars are being issued by their head offices. Anyway you can sort out the matter by approaching Banking Ombudsman taking a defence that car loan is different from personal loan taken through credit card. You may succeed.

When you have taken two different types of loans from this bank and one of them is still pending by quite a large amount, the bank cannot refuse to give you NOC for the car.
You can request the bank manager and if they do not concede you can contact their superiors or regional managers.
