Junior engineer appointed in 2008,2009 and 2010 are all BE degree holder and direct recruitment services. In 2008, govt, made direct recruitment(-selection test ) through interview only to Assistant Engineer. Could senior je get service weightage.? Any supreme court case?
A.Dear client,
Regarding the possibility of a senior junior engineer (JE) getting service weightage for their selection as an Assistant Engineer (AE), it would depend on the specific laws, policies, and rules governing the recruitment process in the concerned government department or organization. Each government department or state may have its own rules and regulations regarding recruitment, service weightage, and promotions.
To know if a particular JE is eligible for service weightage or if there have been any Supreme Court cases related to this issue, it's best to consult with a qualified legal expert or employment lawyer who can provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information based on the specific circumstances and the relevant laws and rules applicable in your jurisdiction.
They can analyze the relevant recruitment policies, rules, and any past court judgments to advise on the potential eligibility of the senior JE for service weightage in their case. It's important to seek personalized legal advice to understand the implications of the specific situation.

A.Dear Client,
From the query, it is not clear what kind of service weightage you referred to for what purpose, Direct Recruitment by UPSC is conducted broadly under the following two methods: 1) Recruitment by competitive examination. 2) Recruitment by selection through interview only. Usually, the first method of recruitment overweighs the second method of recruitment, and service weightage in respect of senior-junior level depends upon the various factors including the basis of recruitment and the promotion policy of the concerned organization or deptts. So you need to clarify the matter from the concerned establishment or deptt.
