Mental harassment - My father took some goods Mental harassment - My father took some goods

My father took some goods back 2017-18 from a toy vendor. However due to some family dispute I tool over the shop from him and handed over my business with internal discussion. One year back I got to know about this credit of rs 1.23 and there after few months back I took the responsibility verbally to repay the amount in small installments. I paid around 10k in april and may. But I failed to pay him in last one June and July due to very weather at my place bcz of which my business got effected very badly. Where as I never told him that I won't be paying, but recently in my absence he came to my store and in front of the staffs he did a big scene when customers were also present and forcefully took stock of rs 5k and sold it to some of my neighbor shops. My staff requested him alot saying he can wait for me to come as I was out of town and going to reach anyway by next morning but still he did that act. Now again he is constantly calling me and asking me money and brings up his guys to my shop to scare me and pressurize me. Pls suggest what should I do bcz I dnt have agood relationship with my dad and also planning to again handover the shop back to my father by November.

A.Dear Client,
You may lodge a complaint or FIR against the vendor.

Whenever you contact that vendor, try to keep record of any letters, documents, or communications they send you. Try writing down the time and date of conversations along with notes about what you discussed.

Send a legal notice to the vendor who is harassing you to stop this act. Tell them how you want to be contacted in future and ask them to confirm this writing. In this notice, you should make clear that harassing is illegal, and that if it continues, you may take other legal action.
And further you may file a suit against the vendor.
