Advance Amount Refund Purpose

I joined in a PG , when I joining the PG I paid one Month rent Amount 6,000/-and advance 2,000/- total 8,000/- rupees on 13th July 2023 , in Joining Date PG owner Said if You want your adavance amount back , inform me before 15 days of your Leaving from PG, otherwise we will not Return. On 1st August 2023 I Informed to PG management to I'm leaving PG on 13th August Morning , They Said okay with it. When 12th August afternoon again I informed to I'm leaving Tomorrow Morning and I asked about my Advance Amount Refund. They Said We can't Give you Your Advance because You should inform before 15 days from Leaving, You just Told before 12 days from Leaving PG That's Why we are not Refund Your Advance Amount.
Now How Can I have Recovery My Advance Amount ???
As a prudent person you should not have vacated the PG Centre till your advance is repaid. If you have documents to evidence that you have paid advance amount then you can approach the Police or directly approach the landlord for refund of your amount.
You can file a money suit against them to recover your money with interest. If you want to avoid long drawn court case, continue to stay in that pg without paying the rent till you adjust the advance amount paid by you.
