Work from home scam

I have signed an online work from home agreement where I had to fill forms looking into some resumes which is in pdf form, 500 resumes to be filled in a form like website called workone.in in 5 days. the agreement looked real but after signing and doing 100 resumes I read the agreement again and now it made sense that if i need days extension i need to pay and if i don't get 90% accuracy then also i have to pay, my salary would be 15000rs. I asked if i can quit but they said no i have to do it then i can quit. What should i do?

If your terms of contract/agreement stipulate that before fulfillment of your assignment, you cannot quit the Company, then such a term of contract itself stands void being unfair and prejudiced. Section 27 of the Indian Contract Act,1872 prohibits any agreement in restraint of trade and profession. The law states that an agreement will be illegal if it restrains someone from exercising a lawful profession/ trade/ business. As per the mandate of Section 27, any terms and conditions of an agreement/contract that directly or indirectly compels the employee to serve the employer or puts a restriction on them joining the competitor or other employer is not valid. The employee has the right to resign from the employment even if he/she has agreed to serve the employer for a specific period of time. However, for any adverse reaction from the Company, reach out to an advocate for serving a legal notice to the Company and visit the office of the concerned Labour Commissioner for redressal of your grievance against the Company
