I gave money to some one instead of that they gave a sbh cheque ....Now that cheque works or not because now all the sub branch of sbi were merged into sbi so that cheque works or not now please anyone respond to my question it's very urgent to me

You can make a representation before SBI and seek the remedy.

That cheque can't work now.beacause all cheques of merged banks are cancelled from specified date.If you have taken post dated cheque then it cannot be honoured.Therefore you need to take cheque again from that party.
