My Husband Files Section 9 My Husband Files Section 9

I filed a case of 498a on my husband, and after 2 months he filed a section 9 case on me in which I appeared but he just threw full of allegations. Now my question is what happens if I don't appear in court for further proceedings, can he be able to fill any criminal case against me or my family, If I don't appear? Kindly suggest because I am unemployed and not financially able to go to the court, because it is 400km distance and no train or bus service is available, only have to go by car.

A.Dear Client,
If your husband has filed a Section 9 case against you, it means he is seeking to restore conjugal relations. It's essential to appear in court and present your side of the case. If you are unable to attend a court hearing, you can request an adjournment through your attorney, providing valid reasons for your absence. The court may grant an adjournment in some cases. If you cannot afford legal representation, you may explore the possibility of seeking legal aid or pro bono assistance through local legal services authority. Failure to appear in court without valid reasons can result in adverse consequences, including unfavorable judgments.
