Eligibility for a government job can depend on various factors, including the specific nature of the loan default and the policies of the government or the particular department in question. Generally, loan default may not automatically disqualify an individual from obtaining a government job, but it can impact the overall assessment of the candidate's character and financial responsibility.

A.Dear Sir,
There is no link between default in payment of loans and getting a Government job unless there is any criminal case registered against such job seeker.

A.Dear Client,
To get a government job in India, you should not have any criminal case pending against you. Police verification is compulsory in all states in India to get eligible for government jobs. If a criminal case is pending against you, in that case, you would not be eligible for a government job. Defaulting on a loan is considered a civil offense, and criminal charges are not typically applied in such cases. A loan defaulter has to face legal consequences if the lender Bank filed a petition in the Debt Recovery Tribunal against him. However, the court may direct your arrest if you fail to appear before the court. The impact of such defaults should not ideally affect your prospects of getting a govt job.
