Steps after Court Issues Final Partition Decree for ancestral property Steps after Court Issues Final Partition Decree for ancestral property

What steps must I take as a plaintiff once the court issues the final decree to partition an ancestral property between the siblings? The defendant has agreed to vacate the part of the property that the honourable court has given to the plaintiff. I believe that I need to register the partition decree with the Department of Stamps, and then apply for mutation with the Municipality, but are there any other steps? Can I carry out the above two (or others) in parallel, or are they in sequence? What time does the process take after the defendant vacates the property to complete the documentation and then partition as per leaps and bounds? The property is located in Dehradun district.

After receiving the final decree, it is crucial to register it with the appropriate authority, typically the Department of Stamps or the Sub-Registrar's Office, and then apply for mutation of the property with the municipality or the local revenue authority. Once the defendant vacates the portion of the property allotted to you, you can take possession of the property as per the court's decree.
