Handing Over Flat Handing Over Flat

Hi Sirs, - I have purchased a flat in a project that has 3 blocks. Ours is in Block A which is almost completed. However the STP work is still going on. The Builder is not giving any specific date for completion of STP and is saying that if you are in a hurry to occupy they can put a sewage pit and connect the same and the owner can occupy. The work in Block B and C is yet to be completed. In this scenario even if the builder finishes the STP work and connects Block A , can we move in to Block A ? The OC obviously will not be issued without the completion of Block B & C. What do you suggest . Kindly guide.

A.Dear Client
In situations like these, it's crucial to prioritize the safety and convenience of the residents. While the completion of the STP work might be necessary for a comfortable living experience, the absence of an OC (Occupancy Certificate) can lead to complications. The OC is a crucial legal document that confirms the construction has adhered to the necessary guidelines and is safe for occupancy. Moving in without the OC might lead to potential legal and safety risks, and it could impact the resale value of the property. It's advisable to consult legal experts or real estate advisors to understand the implications of moving in without the OC. Additionally, you can try to communicate with the builder to gain a clear understanding of the situation and explore the possibility of negotiating a practical solution.
