A.Dear Client,
When a product is bought under a Hire Purchase Agreement and financed by an NBFC/FI, then being a customer you should go through the terms and conditions of that agreement which is typically made by the financier in connivance with the authorized selling outlets to gain extra from the deal. So, by signing that agreement you accepted the terms of the financier neither you can take the stand of ignorance nor ask for further communication from the financier regarding the addition of the cost of an extra warranty on the product in EMI that increases the amount of EMI. However, in case there are no terms as such in the HPA, then the action of both the financier and the product seller shall be termed as a deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, and accordingly, serving a legal notice to the financier, you can file a complaint against both the financier and seller of the product before the Dist. Consumer Commission claiming refund of the entire money levied for extra warranty for the purchase of washing machine along with compensation for harassment. The complaint should be filed within two years from the date of the cause of action.

Initiate contact with Bajaj Finance's customer care to discuss the issue. Share your concerns and inquire about the extra warranty charges that were added to your EMI without your knowledge. Document your complaint in writing and send it to Bajaj Finance through a registered post or email. Clearly outline the issue, provide details of your purchase, and explain the unauthorized charges. Request a resolution and a refund. Review the terms and conditions of your agreement with Bajaj Finance, including any documents related to the purchase of the washing machine and the EMI plan. This will help you understand your rights and obligations. If Bajaj Finance does not address your concerns adequately, you can approach the consumer grievance redressal forum established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). File a complaint online through the RBI's Complaint Management System (CMS). The Banking Ombudsman is an authority appointed by the RBI to address grievances against banks and financial institutions. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can file a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman.
