App Developer did not deliver project App Developer did not deliver project

I am not Indian and do not live in India. I paid a company to develop an app for me. It reached about 80% in development and monies were paid accordingly.

Due to their internal issues and then covid19, the development had stopped and its not being resumed. Delivery was meant to be in 6-8 months and now been almost 4 years.

I just want to get a refund. What do I do?

A.Dear Client
Go through the contract or agreement you had with the company. Check for clauses related to project timelines, delays, and termination conditions. Reach out to the company in writing, clearly stating your concerns. Request an update on the project status and express your dissatisfaction with the delays. Clearly communicate your expectation for a resolution. Clearly state that, due to the extended delays and lack of progress, you are seeking a refund for the amount paid. Include details of the payments made and the services not delivered.
