Flipkart Pay Later Loan Error
On October 8, 2023, I availed the "Flipkart Pay Later EMI" service through IDFC First Bank to purchase an MSI Core i3 11th Gen laptop. This is loan 1. On October 11, 2023, I made another purchase using Flipkart Pay Later EMI for a TWS. This is loan 2.
Issue with Loan 1
I decided to prepay the entire outstanding loan amount for the first purchase (Loan 1) on October 18, 2023. IDFC First Bank acknowledged the prepayment and issued a No Dues Certificate confirming the closure of the loan account. However, the November 2023 EMI statement still reflects the prepayment amount, causing confusion and inconvenience.
Flipkart Account Suspension
Despite making the EMI payment for the second purchase (Loan 2) and the loan processing fees for both accounts, my Flipkart Pay Later account has been suspended due to non-payment.
Communication with Customer Support
I have repeatedly contacted IDFC First Bank customer support to resolve these issues. While they acknowledged the prepayment of Loan 1, they have not rectified the EMI statement or addressed the account suspension.
Please guide what should I do.
Send them a mail for documentation.
Visit the branch with an application to the Service Manager asking for the rectification.
You can also opt for the banking ombudsman, and take the help.
In case everything fails, let an advocate draft a legal notice for you (we can do that for you). Later, if situation is not healed by these steps you have to file a consumer case against the bank. But hoping that the changes would be made sooner, sometimes due to technical Glitches certain changes take time to be reflected in the customer profile.
Consider issuing a robust legal notice indicating that if the matter is not resolved in your favor, you will have to pursue the appropriate legal recourse by approaching either the consumer forum or the civil court to seek the necessary remedy.
You may get issue a strong legal notice saying that if issue is not settled in your favour you have to approach consumer forum or civil Court and seek appropriate remedy.
