My online friend sent me a gift, (he is working in UK. )through Royal Mail company. Royal Mail ask me 15,000 for the delivery process... I thought it might be a scammer. I question them why the sender couldn't pay the money they said he couldn't pay. So I kol him and ask, him and he informed me that he even put UK money for my used. He seems so real I trust him n I paid the first amount. Now they send again to pay 30.000 saying, the Delhi Police scanned the package and caught the foreign currency, if fail to paid the police will take the package to court. The money is to make the anti terrorism certificate without this certificate it's illegal n will be taken to court... Now I told them I don't have money, they request me to let the know when I have money to pay.. I ask my abroad friend also where to get money, he beg me to pay it... Can't he pay the required money... Why he makes me to pay??? Now i don't trust so I search about foreign currency n I found this page . Thank you help me out

A.Dear Client,
It's essential to recognize that this scenario shares characteristics with common online scams. Be cautious about sending money to unfamiliar entities, especially if it involves unexpected charges or fees. Scammers often create elaborate stories to convince individuals to pay money. In such situations, it's crucial not to send any more funds and cease communication with the alleged sender. Consider reporting the incident to your local authorities or relevant cybercrime units. Be aware of Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property. Always verify the legitimacy of such requests and seek advice from local law enforcement if needed.
Thankyou

A.Dear Client,
The contents of your query sound something suspicious and illegal activities. Better to bring the matter to the notice of the local police station and serve a legal notice to the concerned mailing company informing them that if they do not refrain from the unfair trade practice of extorting money on either pretext with ulterior motives, necessary legal action shall b taken in the matter. Reach out to an Advocate for serving a legal notice and further guidance/steps.
